The Russian Defense Ministry has demanded all Ukrainian forces put down weapons and leave Mariupol.
In a statement released on Sunday night, the ministry promised to grant safe exit through an agreed route if all Ukrainian forces and "foreign mercenaries" surrender their arms between 10:00 a.m. and 12 noon.
The Defense Ministry also demanded a response in writing by 5:00 a.m. on Monday.
Russian forces have been shelling Mariupol and have pushed deep into the city.
