French energy giant TotalEnergies says it will not be renewing its contracts for Russian oil and petroleum. The company has also promised to stop funding projects in Russia. TotalEnergies had been facing criticism for not joining other energy firms in severing ties with the country. British energy giant BP announced last month it would abandon its Russian interests. Fellow energy supermajor Shell followed suit soon after. TotalEnergies says it will be turning to Saudi Arabia and Poland for future supplies.
