Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to address the United Nations Security Council by video link on Tuesday amid global outrage over the mass killings of civilians in Ukraine.
                
In Bucha, northwest of the capital Kyiv, citizens were found dead on the streets after the pullout of Russian troops. Countries around the world are blaming Russia for the atrocities, and demanding that it be held accountable.
                
The UN Security Council is scheduled to discuss the humanitarian situation in Ukraine on Tuesday.
                
Zelenskyy will address the session in his first UN speech since the start of the Russian invasion. He will likely describe to the world the devastation he saw in Bucha.
                
Russia is denying involvement in the civilian deaths in Bucha. The Russian delegation is expected to fiercely protest condemnation from other member states.
                
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will join the council session and is expected to call for a humanitarian ceasefire in Ukraine.
