Ohtani Shohei renews hardest-hit ball of his career NHK

In Major League Baseball on Sunday, Japanese two-way star Ohtani Shohei put a little something extra on his first extra-base hit of the season.

Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels was the designated hitter in the game against the Houston Astros.

In the third inning, he scorched a ground-rule double to right field. The ball flew so fast that the TV camera had trouble following it.

His hit had a screaming exit velocity of 191.6 kilometers per hour, surpassing his personal record from April last year by 0.1 kilometers per hour.

The Astros won the game 4-1 over the Angels.
