Yokohama City, near Tokyo, has set up donation boxes at municipal offices to raise funds for Ukrainian evacuees who have arrived there. Officials say the donation boxes will be located at City Hall and 18 ward offices from Tuesday through May 11. The funds will be used to help the Ukrainians with their daily lives. Officials say eight evacuees had arrived as of Friday. They plan to speak with them and give them care packages. The officials say from March through Monday they collected donations worth about 130,000 dollars, which will be sent to the Red Cross in Ukraine.
