The name of the husband of Japan's former Princess Mako is not included in a list of candidates who passed a New York State bar exam held in February.
The New York State Board of Law Examiners released the list on its website on Thursday.
Komuro Kei took the exam for the second time after failing last July.
The board says 45 percent of the roughly 3,000 candidates passed. It says 30 percent of repeat takers were successful.
The couple married last October. They are currently living in a rented apartment in New York. Komuro Kei works at a law firm in the state.
