North Korea's state-run TV has aired footage of the country's leader Kim Jong Un visiting the mausoleum of his grandfather Kim Il Sung to mark his birth anniversary.
Korean Central Television broadcast the footage on Sunday. It said he made the visit on Friday, the 110th birth anniversary of the country's founder.
The footage showed Kim accompanied by his wife, Ri Sol Ju, and senior Workers' Party officials. They are seen paying respects to Kim's grandfather, and father Kim Jong Il.
Kim Jong Un's younger sister, Kim Yo Jong, was also present.
Observers say the broadcast is aimed at stressing the authority of the current leader that goes back generations.
