German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is to visit Japan next week for a summit with Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Matsuno Hirokazu told reporters in Friday's press briefing that Scholz will make a two-day visit from next Thursday. This is his first trip to Japan since taking office.
