Japan Coast Guard vessels and a helicopter are searching for a tour boat that ran into trouble in waters off eastern Hokkaido. The tour boat KAZU I sent out a distress message early Saturday afternoon saying it was taking on water off the Shiretoko Peninsula. The boat is carrying 24 passengers including two children, and two crew members.
