UN: Over 5.23 million people have fled Ukraine NHK

The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees says that as of Sunday, more than 5.23 million people had fled Ukraine since Russia's invasion began.

Approximately 2.9 million people evacuated to Poland, with around 490,000 going to Hungary, and some 430,000 fleeing to Moldova. About 770,000 people had evacuated to Romania as of Saturday.

The UN refugee agency also says around 600,000 had made their way to Russia as of Sunday.
