Prosecutors in Ukraine say the Russian invasion has killed at least 217 children and injured 393 as of Wednesday.
The Ukrainian prosecutor general's office says the eastern region of Donetsk had the highest number of child casualties at 129, followed by the Kyiv region at 114, the eastern region of Kharkiv at 93, and 66 in the Chernihiv region in the north.
The office also said 1,508 schools and other educational facilities have been damaged by bombings and shelling, with 102 of them completely destroyed.
