Ohtani hits 2 homers, including grand slam NHK

In Major League Baseball, Japanese two-way star Ohtani Shohei of the Los Angeles Angels belted his first grand slam as a professional -- it was the second of his two home runs on Monday night.

Facing the Tampa Bay Rays in Anaheim, Ohtani was batting third as the designated hitter.

He hit a solo home run to left-center in the sixth inning, his first homer in 10 games.

In the next inning, Ohtani blasted another one over the wall in left field, this time with bases loaded.

It is the first grand slam of Ohtani's professional career, including Japan, and his 99th homer in Major League Baseball.

The Angels defeated the Rays 11 to 3.
