The UN agency for Palestinian refugees says it is investigating an allegation that some staff members were involved in Hamas's surprise attack on Israel in October. The agency on Friday cited Israel as the source of the accusation. In response, the United States -- the agency's top financial contributor -- as well as Canada and Australia announced that they will suspend new funding. That move is raising concern that relief efforts for people in Gaza could be disrupted. The Israeli military is continuing attacks on the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, where it says Hamas has operations headquarters. Health authorities in Gaza say Israeli offensives have killed 26,083 people, and that hunger and diseases are rampant among displaced people. Meanwhile, a spokesperson of Houthi militants in Yemen said in a social media post on Friday that they attacked a British oil tanker with cruise missiles and set the vessel on fire in the Gulf of Aden. The ship-tracking website Marine Traffic says the target was a Marshall Islands-registered tanker. Following the attack, the US military said early Saturday morning that it destroyed a Houthi missile.
