German electronics giant Siemens says it will exit the Russian market due to Moscow's invasion of Ukraine. The company said in a statement on Thursday, "We join the international community in condemning the war in Ukraine." Siemens put all new business in Russia on hold after the start of the invasion, but continued maintenance and service work on high-speed trains. But it says it has now decided to wind down its industrial operations and all business activities in the country. Siemens says it has been operating in Russia for nearly 170 years, and employs about 3,000 people in the country. The company says it will continue to support them and also will provide humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian people.
