The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, or OHCHR, says that as of Tuesday, at least 3,778 civilians had been killed in Ukraine since the Russian invasion started on February 24. The figure includes 251 children. The OHCHR says 2,070 of the deaths were in the eastern regions of Donetsk and Luhansk, while 1,708 deaths were in regions that include Kyiv, Kharkiv in the east and elsewhere. It also says 4,186 civilians have been injured. The agency says it believes the actual number of deaths and injuries is far higher. It cites difficulty corroborating reports from Mariupol in eastern Ukraine and elsewhere.
