Toyota Motor says it has resumed operations at a subsidiary following a disruption to industrial water supplies in central Japan. The automaker was able to secure an alternative source of water. The company suspended operations on Thursday morning at two assembly lines at a factory of Toyota Industries in Aichi Prefecture. The disruption stemmed from a massive leak which took place early Tuesday at a river water processing plant. Officials expected the suspension to affect the production of about 600 vehicles.
