Zelenskyy admits difficult situation in Donbas and Kharkiv NHK

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has spoken about the difficult situation in Donbas and the Kharkiv region in the east.

Zelenskyy said in a newly released video on Saturday that the Russians are concentrating their offensive efforts on Severodonetsk and several other cities.

Severodonetsk is said to be Ukraine's last stronghold in the Luhansk region.

The president said that the situation is indescribably difficult although the defense is holding on.

He also noted that Russian shelling near a kindergarten in Mykolaiv on Saturday killed one person and wounded seven others.

Zelenskyy underscored that Ukraine will definitely regain everything that belongs to it, adding it is only a matter of time and that it is doing everything it can.

He reiterated that a lot depends on the partners providing Ukraine with what is necessary to defend its freedom.
