Prosecutors in Ukraine say the Russian invasion has killed at least 243 children and wounded 446 others as of Tuesday.
The eastern Donetsk region has the highest number of casualties at 153, followed by the Kyiv region at 116, the Kharkiv region in the east at 111 and the Chernihiv region in the north at 68.
The prosecutors also say 1,909 schools and other education facilities have been damaged by bombing and shelling, with 180 of them completely destroyed.
