An opinion poll has shown that about two thirds of respondents in Ukraine believe it will take at least six months for the country to win the war against Russia.
A Ukrainian independent research organization conducted the survey on Saturday and Sunday. It received responses from 1,200 people aged 18 or older across Ukraine, except for the Russian-annexed region of Crimea and the eastern region of Donbas where Russia is trying to take full control.
The survey showed 93 percent of the respondents believe that Ukraine will be able to "repel Russia's attack."
However, 67 percent believe that it will take at least six months or more than one year for Ukraine to win the war. That was more than five times the corresponding figure in a similar poll three months ago.
The survey also showed 87 percent of the respondents would support Ukraine's accession to the European Union in the event of a referendum, and 69 percent believe that the country will join the bloc within five years.
The Ukrainian government applied for EU membership following Russia's invasion.
