A summit of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization will begin two-day talks in the Spanish capital of Madrid on Wednesday.

The new strategic concept is expected to refer to China for the first time as a presence that brings about challenges to NATO&#039;s security, interests and values.
                
The summit is also likely to announce that NATO will strengthen its cooperation with countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
