LDP's Mihara Junko certain to win 3rd term NHK

The Liberal Democratic Party's Mihara Junko is projected to retain her seat in the Kanagawa electoral district.

The 57-year-old former actor has served two terms in the Upper House.

She has a post in the Kishida administration assisting ministers in the Cabinet Office.

Mihara formerly served as state minister of health, labor and welfare. She focused on issues of fertilization treatment and cervical cancer based on her own experiences.

Mihara thanked supporters for giving her a third term.

She said she will live up to the expectations of the voters of Kanagawa Prefecture who have trusted her as their representative.
