The death toll from Russia's missile attack in Ukraine's eastern region of Donetsk on Saturday has risen.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine said on Wednesday that the missile attack on Chasiv Yar has killed 46 people, including a child. Rescue operations still continue.

Russia is aiming to take full control of the Donetsk region.

Russia claims it has taken control of the southern region of Kherson. But Ukrainian troops are believed to be fighting back. Reuters news agency reported the forces attacked a Russian ammunition depot and other targets on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has been unable to export wheat and other types of grain due to the Russian blockade of ports in southern Ukraine.

The two countries and two mediators, Turkey and the United Nations, will hold a working-level meeting on the matter in Istanbul on Wednesday.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reportedly said in a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday that it is time to take action for grain exports through the Black Sea.
