The figure is up 9,203 from a week ago, or 1.95-times the total of last Saturday.
The seven-day average of the daily tally in the capital through Saturday came to 14,106. That was 209.1 percent of the number from a week earlier.
Tokyo officials say the number of seriously ill patients on ventilators or ECMO heart-lung machines is 14, down two from Friday.
They also reported two deaths from the virus.
