Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stressed all-out resistance as Russian forces continue deadly attacks in the country's east.

The governor of Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region said on Wednesday that Russian shelling left 13 civilians dead in residential areas of two towns across a river from the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

In the Donetsk region, Russian strikes on the center of the city of Bakhmut reportedly killed at least six people.

Zelenskyy said in a video address on Wednesday that Kyiv "will not leave today's Russian shelling of the Dnipropetrovsk region unanswered."

He said, "The more losses the occupiers suffer, the sooner we will be able to liberate our land and guarantee Ukraine's security."
