People in Singapore no longer need to wear a mask indoors in most places, as part of the country's looser rules for living with COVID. The Southeast Asian city-state has dropped the requirement for mask-wearing indoors -- except on public transport and in health care facilities. On Monday, when the mask rule was scrapped, many people still chose to wear one. Non-fully vaccinated travelers won't need to quarantine for seven days on arrival anymore. They must still test negative for COVID before departure. In Singapore, about 70 percent of the population has already contracted COVID. But the government says infection numbers have been falling steadily. In Southeast Asia, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia have lifted outdoor mask rules under policies encouraging people to live with Covid.
