EU defense ministers met Monday and Tuesday in the Czech Republic to discuss a military training mission for Ukrainian soldiers. Ministers from France, Germany, and other countries have already provided training on their own. But some say the bloc needs "greater coordination."

They find themselves divided over something else the Ukrainians have requested: a travel ban on Russian citizens. The bloc has already tightened restrictions on officials and businesspeople. However, some argue it would be counterproductive to punish "ordinary Russians" who may not support the war.
