The capital's daily tally fell more than 1,800 from a week earlier and marks the 17th straight day that infections have declined week-on-week.
The seven-day case average stands at 11,344, which is 69.6 percent of the figure for the previous week.
Tokyo officials also reported 29 deaths and said that 29 patients were on ventilators or ECMO heart-lung machines, down three from Tuesday.
