One man remains trapped and two others were rescued after a warehouse partially collapsed in the western Japanese prefecture of Yamaguchi on Wednesday, showering debris onto vehicles nearby.
A local fire department received a report shortly after 1 p.m. that part of the warehouse had collapsed in Shimonoseki City, trapping people.
Police say the walls and eaves of the building fell down and struck seven vehicles parked nearby. They say three of the vehicles each contained an employee of the firm operating the warehouse.
Police also say two of them were rescued and are conscious. They say they are working with firefighters to rescue the remaining employee in his 50s, and that he is not responding to their calls.
The building was damaged badly, exposing what appears to be concrete and steel frames.
