IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi was speaking to reporters in Vienna on Monday, on the sidelines of an IAEA Board of Governors meeting.

He said workers have restored a reserve outside power line to the plant, which lost external power supply due to shelling last Monday. He added that efforts are underway to restore other lines.

Grossi said there have been emergencies that required engineers to patch up damaged facilities. He described the situation as "unsustainable."
Grossi said all that is required is for Ukraine and Russia to "agree on a very simple principle of not attacking or not shelling the plant."

He added that there are signs that both sides are interested in the plan to create a protection zone around the plant.
