Concerns are growing again over nuclear safety in Ukraine following reports of a Russian missile strike near a nuclear power plant in the country&#039;s south.
                
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a social media post on Monday that a missile fell 300 meters from the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant in the Mykolaiv region, causing a short-term power outage.
                
Zelenskyy accused Russia of endangering the whole world. He said, &quot;We have to stop it before it&#039;s too late.&quot;
                
State nuclear power company Energoatom said the shock wave blew out more than 100 windows at the plant. But it said all three of its reactors were undamaged, and none of its staff were injured.
                
The reports of the missile strike come after a series of shellings around the Zaporizhzhia plant in southeastern Ukraine.
                
The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency warned against any military action that threatens nuclear safety and security.
                
Rafael Grossi said in a statement on Monday that while they have focused on the urgent need for action to prevent a nuclear accident at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, the explosion near the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant clearly demonstrates the potential dangers at other nuclear facilities in the country.
                
Infrastructure in Ukraine has been subject to attacks since earlier this month.
                
The British defense ministry said Russia had likely expanded its targets &quot;in an attempt to directly undermine the morale of the Ukrainian people and government.&quot;
