A man set himself on fire in central Tokyo on Wednesday. Police say a note criticizing next week's state funeral of former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo was left at the scene. Tokyo police said they received a report before 7 a.m. on Wednesday that a man was engulfed in flames in a roadside bush in Tokyo's Kasumigaseki District. The man, who is in his 70s, is now being treated for burns at a hospital. The man reportedly told police that he doused himself in oil before igniting the fire. Police are investigating the incident, including the hand-written note left at the scene. Kasumigaseki is the location of many government agencies. The incident came as security is being tightened in many parts of Tokyo ahead of Abe's state funeral scheduled for next Tuesday.
