The shooting took place on Monday in the city of Izhevsk, about 1,000 kilometers east of Moscow.

Russia's Investigative Committee says 24 people, including 22 children, were wounded.

The investigators say the gunman, who killed himself on the spot, is in his 30s and a graduate from the school.

A senior member of Russia's lower house of parliament says there is information that the attacker had two modified guns.
