He lost his no-hit bid on a two-out single, but got out of the inning without giving up a run. He finished with 10 strikeouts and only two hits allowed.
Ohtani also had an excellent day at the plate, getting two hits and driving in a run. He extended his hitting streak to 14 games.
The Angels won by a final score of 4-2.
