Train services in northern Germany have been disrupted after trouble with a cable system that authorities suspect was an act of sabotage. German train operator Deutsche Bahn said many long distance trains and other runs were halted on Saturday for about three hours. German Digital and Transport Minister Volker Wissing told a news conference that the cables were deliberately cut in two locations. European authorities are bracing for further acts of sabotage of their infrastructure. Explosions and gas leaks were detected in late September in the Nord Stream pipeline, which runs from Russia to Germany.
