A large fire after an explosion has occurred on a road-and-rail bridge connecting the Crimean Peninsula in southern Ukraine with the southern part of Russia.
Russia's National Antiterrorism Committee said on Saturday that a truck had exploded and caused fuel tanks on a train to catch fire.
Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said President Vladimir Putin had instructed his government to set up a task force to investigate the cause of the fire.
The bridge was completed four years ago. It is regarded by Russia as one of the most strategically important infrastructure projects in Crimea, which Moscow unilaterally annexed eight years ago.
