Torrential rains have battered parts of Indonesia. Authorities say at least 19 people are dead.



The National Disaster Management Agency said on Thursday that 14 people were killed on the resort island of Bali, while two others are missing.



The downpours started on Tuesday in Bali, causing rivers to burst their banks. Authorities say floods and landslides have forced more than 500 people into emergency shelters.



The cleanup of mud and debris is underway in some areas.



Flash floods have also hit Indonesia's East Nusa Tenggara Province, where authorities say at least five people are dead.
