More than 30 people killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza on Monday, Tuesday NHK

Israeli forces continued carrying out fierce attacks in the Gaza Strip, reportedly killing more than 30 people on Monday and Tuesday.

Qatar-based broadcaster Al Jazeera reported that at least 10 people were killed and many others were injured in an Israeli drone attack on a tent cafe in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, on Monday. The coffee shop was located in an area designated by Israel as a safe zone.

The broadcaster also said at least 21 people have been killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza since early Tuesday morning.

Local health authorities say more than 43,600 people have been killed since the fighting between Israel and Hamas began in October last year.

The Israeli military said on Tuesday that they had delivered relief supplies, including hundreds of food packages and thousands of liters of water, to northern Gaza. The UN and other humanitarian agencies had said the area is facing a humanitarian crisis.

The military also said in coordination with a UN agency, they have evacuated patients and their companions from hospitals in northern Gaza over the past month.

Footage taken by an NHK crew from the Gaza office showed a steady stream of ambulances with injured people arriving at Nassir hospital in Khan Younis on Monday night.

A man carrying a body wrapped in white cloth said, "This child was with his father in the cafe, and then the attack happened. He was only 14 years old."

A reporter quoted a witness as saying the cafe was packed with people watching a football game on a big screen TV, or using the internet.
