Passengers remained calm despite taxiway collision NHK

A passenger who was on board one of the aircraft involved in a taxiway collision at Tokyo's Haneda Airport on Saturday says there was little turmoil among passengers.

The passenger posted a video on Twitter. The video, shot from an Eva Air jet, shows two emergency vehicles parked nearby.

The passenger said there had been an impact noise, but no big commotion inside the cabin.

The person said there was an in-flight announcement about 15 minutes later telling the passengers of the incident and asking them to wait until the plane returned to a parking apron for maintenance.

The passenger said the cancellation of the flight has spoiled a plan to see friends, but it cannot be helped.

Another passenger on the same aircraft said she heard an unfamiliar thud and the plane came to a halt. The woman, who was heading for Taiwan with her grandchild, said the passengers remained calm. She added that she just wanted to get airborne as soon as possible.
