Honda Motor has announced plans to launch a new series of self-developed electric vehicles in 2026. It says this is the company's first step in expanding its presence in the global EV market. The Japanese automaker unveiled two concept models of the Honda 0 Series at the annual CES technology trade show in Las Vegas. It plans to introduce the first model to North America, before launching sales in Asia and elsewhere. Honda aims to combine a light and efficient battery with a small frame, enabling the car to travel more than 480 kilometers on a single charge. The company had been developing EVs with General Motors with the goal of selling them from 2027, but it canceled the project in October.
