Thai Prime Minister: Release of 12 Thai hostages confirmed NHK

Thailand's Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said in a social media post Friday that it had been confirmed that 12 Thai hostages who had been held by Hamas have already been released.

He said Thai embassy officials are on their way to pick them up.

The Thai government has said 39 Thai nationals died and 26 others were held hostage after Hamas' surprise attack on Israel last month.
