A fire has reportedly broken out at the Russian military's training grounds in Crimea, forcing residents to evacuate. Moscow unilaterally annexed the region from Ukraine in 2014. A Russian-appointed senior official in Crimea said on social media on Wednesday that the fire occurred in eastern Crimea. The official indicated plans to evacuate more than 2,000 people of four nearby settlements. No injuries have been reported. The official said the cause of the fire is under investigation. Local media said there was an explosion at an ammunition depot at the training grounds. The fire comes after a bridge linking the Crimea region and Russia was damaged on Monday. Moscow blamed Ukraine for the incident. Meanwhile, Ukrainian air forces said on Wednesday that Russian troops carried out attacks using cruise missiles and Iranian-made drones, mainly targeting the southern region of Odesa. Regional authorities described the attack as very powerful and massive. Local media outlets said windows were broken, causing injuries, and that grain and oil-related facilities were damaged. Odesa came under attack for a second day in a row. In a social media post, Ukraine's Presidential Adviser Mykhailo Podolyak accused the Russian military of striking grain terminals and port facilities. He said, "The main objective is to destroy the possibility of shipping Ukrainian grain."
