Musk plans to resign as Twitter's CEO NHK

US billionaire Elon Musk says he is stepping down as CEO of social-media giant Twitter.

Musk tweeted on Tuesday that he will leave as soon as he finds someone "foolish enough to take the job."

His resignation would follow a poll in which a majority of Twitter users voted in favor of him quitting the CEO job.

Nearly 60 percent answered "yes" to a question asking if Musk should step down. He earlier said he would abide by the results.

Musk has posted that he will run only the software and server teams of the social-media company.

Musk bought Twitter for 44 billion dollars in October. He dissolved its board of directors and took sole control of the company.
