Tokyo's Nikkei 225 sets fresh record high NHK

The benchmark index for the Tokyo Stock Exchange finished at another all-time high on Tuesday. It's the third-straight session that the Nikkei 225 has hit a record level.

The index ended the day at 39,239, up 5 points or 0.01 percent from Monday's close. High-tech shares led the way.

Last Thursday the benchmark broke through a previous all-time high that had stood for 34 years. It has continued to rise since then.
