The Israeli military says a missile launched from Yemen has fallen in an open area in central Israel, and no injuries have been reported.

The Yemen-based anti-government Houthi group claimed responsibility for Sunday's missile attack. The Houthis have expressed solidarity with the Islamic group Hamas.

The Houthi group said in a statement that "it struck with a new hypersonic missile, and the operation targeting the enemy's military facility had been successful."

The Houthis warn that Israel should expect more strikes, raising concerns about a further expansion of the conflict.

Palestinian media said Israeli forces attacked refugee camps in northern and central areas of the Gaza Strip on Sunday, killing four residents and injuring others.

The Israeli military and the Lebanon-based Shia Muslim group Hezbollah continue to exchange fire on a daily basis in northern Israel.

Israeli forces said on Saturday that they had attacked multiple facilities associated with Hezbollah.
