US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has conveyed his concerns to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi regarding Beijing's support for Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

The two top diplomats met Friday on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference taking place in Germany.

The US State Department said that Blinken raised concerns over China's support for Russia's defense industry.

The department said Blinken stressed the importance of maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea. He also emphasized the need to resume military-to-military communications, as agreed at a bilateral summit in November of last year.

The two sides reportedly exchanged views on the situations in the Middle East and the Korean Peninsula.
