Two deadly explosions have rocked Pakistan one day before the country's general election.

The blasts hit near candidates' offices in the country's southwest on Wednesday, killing at least 24 people. Authorities believe they are terrorist attacks meant to interfere with the vote.

Both explosions happened in the southwestern province of Balochistan. One occurred near the office of a local assembly candidate, leaving 12 dead and 24 injured.

The other blast hit near another candidate's office, killing at least 12 people.

The incidents come just one day before Pakistanis head to the polls for general and local elections. There have been a series of attacks targeting candidates and rallies in the run-up to voting day.
