1. OpenAI, in a recent letter to the White House, is requesting support for its ambitious data center construction plans. The company wants the federal government to expand the Advanced Manufacturing Investment Credit (AMIC) to cover electrical grid components, AI servers, and AI data centers.

2. The company also asked for faster permitting and environmental review processes, as well as a strategic reserve of raw materials needed for AI infrastructure construction.

3. OpenAI executives have discussed potential loan guarantees with the government, but they clarified that they do not want or have government guarantees for their data centers. They expect to reach over $20 billion in annualized revenue by 2025 and plan to grow to hundreds of billions by 2030, having made $1.4 trillion in capital commitments for the next eight years.
