In Thailand, three people have been shot and killed by a gunman on a rampage. The man himself was killed by police in a shoot-out on Thursday.
The incident began on Wednesday in Petchaburi Province southwest of Bangkok. The 29-year-old man began firing with a handgun from a two-story house.
Police confirmed three people were killed, including a motorcycle delivery driver. Several others were wounded.
There was a 15-hour standoff before special forces raided the building and killed the man.
Police believe he was due to appear in court on drug charges, and may have been acting under stress.
It was the latest such incident in the country, which faces a growing problem of gun violence.
In a northeastern province last October, a former police officer attacked a childcare center with a gun and a knife, killing 36 people, including 24 children.
Thailand has the highest number of guns in Southeast Asia, and one of the highest numbers of gun-related deaths.
The government has begun enforcing stricter checks and controls on firearms. But it is unclear how effective such measures will be.
