G7 leaders to discuss Ukraine in Monday online meeting NHK

Leaders of the Group of Seven nations will hold a video conference on Monday to discuss Ukraine.

A spokesperson of the German government announced in Berlin that the meeting will start at 4 p.m. local time. Germany assumes the G7 presidency this year.

The leaders are expected to talk about future assistance to Ukraine and other issues. The spokesperson added that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will join part of the meeting.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is to explain details of the meeting in a news conference afterward.
