Leaders in Kyiv said they tracked 71 missiles and managed to shoot down 61 of them. They said some crossed into the airspace of neighboring Moldova and Romania.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, "This proves once again that terror does not and will not understand any boundaries, that defending Ukraine is defending all of Europe and the whole world."

Officials in Moldova echoed those comments. They lashed out at what they describe as Russia's "latest unfriendly actions."
